About our property

Generations of history

‘Glencara’ is the name of our circa 1910  historic homestead, on our property ‘Lower Coolegong’, located between Young and Grenfell and settled in the 1850s by the Maroney family. 

‘Lower Coolegong’ continues to be held by the descendants of the Maroneys - currently run by the sixth generation; operating as a cropping farm (canola and wheat) along with a mob of Dorper sheep. There is some very interesting history associated with this area and its properties and we are happy to share a story or two with you.
